Mitie is the UK’s leading facilities management and professional services company, with around 50,000 employees delivering infrastructure consultancy, energy, property, and healthcare services.
Mitie’s existing site sat on Kentico and had evolved around multiple audiences, sectors, and propositions. The result was a fragmented experience that made it harder for users to find what they needed, and for Mitie to translate its market leadership into measurable demand.
Mitie engaged Clarity to deliver a UX-led redesign and migration to WordPress that would align stakeholders around a single digital vision, simplify site structure, and support the full customer journey. The objective was to turn the website into a scalable growth platform for marketing, sales, talent, and investor communications, and to underpin future digital marketing and inbound lead generation.
Clarity began with a structured strategy, discovery, and definition phase, bringing together senior stakeholders across the business to agree priorities, audiences, and success measures. Clear user personas and journey mapping framed the experience around how different decision-makers research Mitie, evaluate services, and move towards engagement.
Clarity then re-architected the site around intuitive navigation and a centralised content hub, enabling users to search, sort, and filter content by sector and service. Migrating to a modular WordPress build gave Mitie a flexible, design-safe CMS, so teams can assemble new pages quickly without technical support, while maintaining consistency.
By integrating investor relations data and supporting HubSpot marketing automation, Clarity turned the site into an always-on growth engine where engagement can be tracked through to pipeline. The new platform enabled rapid responses to market moments, such as communicating around COVID-19 and launching the “Getting Britain Back to Business” campaign in days.
