Corporate communications and media relations to elevate an AI neurotechnology challenger in the global press.

The partnership

MindPortal is a neurotechnology startup developing wearable devices that analyse and assess brain activity, opening new possibilities for human–AI interaction. In January 2024, Clarity was appointed to elevate MindPortal’s profile and position the company as a credible challenger to established players such as Elon Musk’s Neuralink.

Leadership needed a communications partner that could translate complex science into clear, compelling narratives and generate excitement about the technology’s potential across global media. The objective was to move MindPortal from early‑stage curiosity to recognised category voice, building trust with influential reporters, investors, and partners while laying the foundations for future breakthrough announcements.

Systematising impact

Clarity first redefined MindPortal’s positioning and messaging, drawing on deep experience in AI and emerging‑tech communications. The team developed a differentiated narrative that clearly articulated MindPortal’s vision for human–AI telepathy and its scientific credibility versus better‑known competitors.

Clarity then built a senior‑led corporate communications programme, overseeing all proactive and reactive media engagement. A structured press‑visit strategy introduced journalists to the technology first‑hand, while respected academic voices from institutions including Stanford, Cambridge, and DARPA reinforced authority. This systematic approach ensured every interaction advanced the same story: MindPortal as a research‑grounded innovator reshaping how people and machines connect.
